Bluetooth File Transfer is a free application for Android phones that allows users to browse, manage, explore, transfer and receive files from any Bluetooth ready device. It searches for close by Bluetooth devices and read its information.
Bluetooth File Transfer has the capacity to cut, move, copy, search and sort files and folders. It can create folders on local and Bluetooth file system as well as creating a shortcut on desktop.
Also, Bluetooth File Transfer allows users to receive and send contacts and applications using Object Push Profile (OPP). It downloads and uploads files to/from any Bluetooth device using File Transfer Profile (FTP).
Lastly, Bluetooth File Transfer has a Bookmark features that allows users to save their favorite device without searching again.
Bluetooth File Transfer allows you to exchange files between your Android phone and any other Bluetooth-enabled device.
The application allows you to browse, explore and manage the files of any Bluetooth-ready device. You can use Bluetooth File Transfer to copy files from your phone to your computer or to someone else’s phone, and viceversa. It has some smart file management capabilities too, allowing you to create, delete and rename files and folders on your phone. There’s also a smart search tool in Bluetooth File Transfer that lets you find files based on file type, size, and date, as well as searching by keyword.
Bluetooth File Transfer is incredibly easy to use. The program is able to automatically turn on Bluetooth when you start it, and it allows you to connect to detected devices with a single click. The interface is split into two tabs – one for local files and the other for remote files
How it works
To transfer a file using Bluetooth File Transfer all you need to do is browse to its location on your phone, tick the box next to its name then choose 'Upload' from the pop-up menu. Once the other Bluetooth device has granted permission for the file to be received, it will be transferred. The process works in a similar way in reverse, although this time you choose 'Download' from the menu in the remote device tab. The great thing about Bluetooth File Transfer is that it lets you transfer multiple files at the same time.
While Bluetooth File Transfer is incredibly quick and easy, it’s also prone to crashes. In our tests, the application failed and had to be forced quit on a number of occasions. It’s a problem that the developer freely admits, and hopefully one that will be resolved soon.
